Faith On Campfire - July 18-20

While reservations at most campgrounds fill up dramatically at this time of year, we are pleased to report that there is still plenty of room for you to join us for Faith On Campfire-the summer family friendly event here at St. John’s. Beginning on Tuesday, July 18th and continuing through Thursday, July 20th, we plan on turning St. John’s into the most exciting, adventurous camp you and your kids have ever seen.

Faith On Campfire is for you – every one of you - from the youngest to the oldest we want to see you come out and enjoy yourself as we feed you dinner each night. We will provide some wonderful faith inspiring lessons and activities for all of you and we will be able to spend time with each other enjoying some great time with the family of God here at St. John’s as we welcome your friends and neighbors that you are planning to invite to join us as part of Faith On Campfire.

On Tuesday evening (7/18) we welcome the Fitz Family to our church. They are a real family who shares the joy of Jesus through circus acts like juggling and diablos-it is a grand show that all of you will want to catch. It is a great way to start off our Faith On Campfire.
We follow that on Wednesday (7/19) with a full night of learning and fun. The children will experience the story of David and Goliath through a unique story telling approach and then be given time to analyze and learn an important lesson of trusting God in all situations. The rest of us will relax in the air-conditioned church as we with our families attempt to think about and then create a mission statement to guide us as we journey through life.
Finally, on Thursday (7/20) we will all gather together to consider the way we worship the Lord. We will make some worship instruments and think about all the different ways God has given us to praise the Lord. As an incredible finale to Faith On Campfire, we will welcome Nate Douglas to our church to provide an evening of praise and worship to end out our session that night.

Each evening there will be a full dinner served for you and your neighbors - a free will offering will be taken each night to cover the costs as well as provide you with an opportunity to give an offering to help with providing hope and healing to orphanages in Russia.

Faith On Campfire is waiting for you - register using the form provided in this newsletter - come out and celebrate with us what God is doing in our midst as He teaches us to trust in Him.
